TY Gaisce Walk

Our Transition Years had a wonderful day out today completing their Adventure Journey for Gaisce, the President’s Award. The Adventure Journey for Bronze lebel normally includes an overnight stay where students prepare their own meals but unfortunately due to Covid 19 restriction, the overnight stay isn’t currently feasible. This didn’t stop the TYs enjoying a fantastic day. Beautiful weather and beautiful scenery also helped with the experience!!

To complete the rest of their tasks for the Gaisce Award the TY students will engage with activities under three headings: Community Involvement, Personal Skill and Physical Recreation. More information can be found at gaisce.ie

Many thanks to Ben from Ben's Surf Clinic for leading the way on the walk again this year. A thoroughly enjoyable day had by all.
