Pope John Paul II Awards

Congratulations to last year’s TY students, Elaine Shannon, Orlaith Cotter, Róisín Long and Róisín Foynes, who received their Pope John Paul II Award on Wednesday 25th November at University College Galway.

The award encourages young people to take an active part in the life of their Church, in the life of their community and society. Throughout the past year, the girls have participated in their local parishes by helping train and manage football teams, by singing in the choir and by helping out at the local charity shop. They have fundraised for various charities as, Trocaire Campaign and Breast Cancer Awareness. Also they have participated in organising and taking part in our school liturgies and our sacred space.

Congratulations to the four ladies on committing themselves to and receiving such a wonderful award. Well done Girls!
