Message from the Principal
Students and Parents,
As we come to the end of week 3 of remote learning I wish to express a deep appreciation for the endeavour and commitment of our school community - the level of engagement and participation has been excellent, despite the many challenges. Remote learning will continue for the moment, until the Department of Education notifies it is safe to reopen our school
The wonderful spirit of our school continues to shine brightly. In our school community there is so much beauty to be grateful for - friendship; empathy; spirituality; kindness; care; and of course the wonderful gifts of hope and resilience. Our students, staff and parents constantly illustrate how we are a compassionate community where everyone looks out for each other - 'we're all in this together'.
While much has changed, the heart of our work remains the same. With creativity, grit and perseverance our very committed teachers continue to connect with and support our students - not just academically, but socially and personally also. Please remember we are here; let us know if we can support in any way. Students continue to make best effort and Scoil Mhuire parents are a wonderful caring presence.
Reflection:
The words of Anne Frank are a reflection on resilience in the face of adversity - "I don't think of all the misery but of all the beauty that still remains."
Keep up the wonderful work and the valuable care for each other. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
