Halloween celebrations

As we reach the end of the first half-term we wish to congratulate the entire school community for having successfully met all of the challenges of Covid 19. Everybody adopted a responsible attitude which paid dividends. This week the students brought the spooky spirit of Halloween to Scoil Mhuire through their creativity and found new ways to celebrate a favourite holiday while maintaining a safe, social distance.

TYBs organised a Table Quiz for the TYA class and their buddies. There was a new first with the TYs taking part in pumpkin carving (Ms. Gallagher got some funny looks the previous evening piling 34 pumpkins into her car!!).

The whole school community got involved in a Fancy Dress competition organised by the Students Council.

And another first; all the stops were pulled out as classes attempted to outdo each other in the Best Decorated Classroom competition. Take a look at the end results with all the photos on our social media , all we can say is WOW!

Wishing everyone a safe, happy and well deserved mid-term break.
