Garda Youth Division Awards

Three Scoil Mhuire students were amongst the Clare teens celebrated for their community involvement in the county’s inaugural Garda Division Youth Awards last week. Clodagh Sulley was one of six who received an individual award while Aoife Cuddihy and Sinead Coughlan received an award for their involvement with the North Clare Irish Red Cross Cadets. The winners were selected by a committee comprising representatives from An Garda Siochana, Shannon Group and Clare based print and broadcast media. As well as being the first honourees in this awards programme, Clodagh received a flight for 2 people to a UK destination while the group winners received a 500 euro flight voucher from Shannon Airport.
