An Audience with author Louise O'Neill

On March 4th our Transition Years enjoyed an audience with author Louise O Neill. Louise is a highly acclaimed author with her book 'Only Ever Yours' winning the 'Sunday Independent Newcomer of the Year Award' in 2014, the 'Childrens' Books Ireland Eilís Dillon Award' for a First Children's Book and also the 'Bookseller's Inaugural YA Book Prize' 2015. Her second book 'Asking for It' was published in 2015 to widespread critical acclaim. She won the Specavers Senior Childrens Book of the Year at the 2015 Irish Book Awards, the Literature Prize at Irish Tatler's Women of the Year Awards and the American Library Association's Michael L. Printz award. It was a pleasure to have Louise discuss her writing career with our students who also enjoyed a very worthwhile question and answer session with Louise.

Thanks to all at Ennistymon Library and Ennis Library for helping to organise these events as part of Teen Week
