#GRMA

Students, Parents,

Monday 14th December is #GRMA (Go raibh maith agat) Day in our school. It is appropriate that we acknowledge and appreciate all we have achieved in Scoil Mhuire since we returned to school in late August. As we approach Christmas and the end of 2020 I am immensely proud of our wonderful school community - each and every member has put their shoulder to the wheel and committed to making our school a place of belonging, care and kindness where students are enabled to flourish and have a positive experience of education. As Príomhoide I am very pleased to say GRMA to: Deputy Principal, Teachers, SNA: for the hard work and commitment to the safe reopening of Scoil Mhuire and for embracing the many changes that ensure the successful operation of our school; for the constant dedication and commitment to the wellbeing and education of our students; for the creativity and ongoing huge effort, in difficult circumstances, to provide rich extracurricular and faith formation programmes to enhance the lives of our students - you have all shown your wonderful qualities and professionalism and continue to go many many extra miles - go raibh míle maith agaibh. Our Students – you are the heartbeat of our school - you bring such a wonderful lifeforce, exuberance and fun to our school! Student behaviour has been outstanding since school reopening - we have appreciated the high level of cooperation, compliance, hard work and commitment- it has made all the difference. Our Prefects and Student Council have provided excellent student leadership. You are all fantastic! Go raibh maith agaibh.   Our Parents – you have been so supportive of our school and our work. You have shown gratitude and great pride in our school. Your daughters are a real credit to you - your ongoing guidance and encouragement are highly valued. A special word of appreciation to our Parents Council for contributing €3500 to the purchase of drinking water dispensers - a wonderful contribution to student wellbeing! Go raibh maith agaibh. Our Board of Management - for providing the very best leadership and making best decisions in the interest of our school community; for funding very significant upgrades of IT and digital learning equipment. Go raibh maith agaibh. Our School Secretary - Rosemarie who is at the very heart of our school - answering queries, delivering messages, making calls for ill students, keeping us all on track....and so much more. Go raibh maith agat. Our Caretaker – John – who is central to ensuring our school building and plant are maintained in good order - he had a very shortened summer holiday to make sure all the required changes were in place for reopening! Go raibh maith agat. Our Cleaners – Anna and Halina who clean and sanitise our school every day - your work makes a positive contribution to the health and safety of our school community. Dziekuje Ci. Our Canteen Staff: Gertie – who feeds and nourishes our students daily! Go raibh maith agat. Bus Drivers - who transport our students safely each day! Go raibh maith agaibh. You are all highly valued in our school. Take great care. Beannachtaí Seosaimhín
